Celebrating a Year of Growth: 2024 Event Recap with Capital Fund 1

Capital Fund 1 had an exciting and productive year in 2024. Through a series of impactful events, it brought together real estate professionals, investors, and industry experts. From quarterly conferences to networking happy hours, each event provided attendees with valuable insights and networking opportunities. Here’s a look back at our events from this year.

March 26, 2024: PHX Property Pulse – Tempe, AZ

We kicked off the year with our first quarterly event, the PHX Property Pulse, held in Tempe, Arizona. CF1 President Noah Brocious hosted a dynamic panel featuring industry leaders Tina Tamboer, Colby McMahon, Kyle Allen, and Zachary Kepes. Attendees enjoyed a taco bar and drinks while networking before and after the panel discussion.

Tina Tamboer presented her insightful Cromford Report, which explored Arizona’s real estate trends in depth. Then, our expert speakers shared their perspectives on the current market in a lively panel discussion. Many of our borrowers and new faces from the Arizona real estate community attended, marking this event as a strong start to 2024.

Texas Lunch & Learn Series: Monthly Networking and Insights

Capital Fund 1 hosted monthly Lunch N’ Learn events throughout the year in Irving, Texas, creating a platform for real estate investors to connect, learn, and grow. Each session was designed to provide actionable insights and strategies for fix-and-flip projects, offering a mix of expert guest speakers with presentations and networking opportunities. Here are some highlights from our Lunch N’ Learn series:

Ethan Bubel, TX Sales Manager at Capital Fund 1, led many of these events with his presentation “Hard Money Isn’t Hard.” He clarified our CF1 hard money lending process, explaining its flexibility and how investors can use it to fund their projects quickly and efficiently. Ethan’s expertise set the tone for these sessions, ensuring attendees left with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about financing their real estate ventures.

Each Lunch & Learn session also featured guest speakers who shared valuable tips and strategies for real estate success, from understanding title processes to exploring alternative financing options.

August 28, 2024: The Future of Real Estate – Summer Summit, Venue8600

In August, we hosted the Summer Summit at Venue8600 in North Scottsdale, AZ, with a larger turnout than our previous quarterly event. The event featured a larger panel of expert speakers, including Tina Tamboer, Ryan Zolin, Kyle Allen, Rahima Blaza, Juan Cruz, and Kevin Owens. Jakob and Zack Fuhriman served as hosts. Guests enjoyed delicious snacks and drinks while networking before and after the panel discussion.

Tina Tamboer presented her Cromford Report once again, followed by an engaging debate on real estate trends, particularly the impact of new federal rates and what they meant for the market heading into the fall of 2024. This event sparked plenty of conversations and left attendees excited about the future of Arizona’s real estate market.

October 2024: Real Estate Happy Hours Across Multiple Markets

October was dedicated to building connections and sharing insights across multiple markets. Capital Fund 1 hosted three successful happy hour events, each designed to strengthen local networks and foster new partnerships.

• • Phoenix Sunset Social (October 22, 2024)
    This event, held at Blanco Tacos and Tequila in Biltmore Fashion Park, featured Rahima Blaza, Founding Partner of Keylee, and Kyle Allen, Co-Owner of Basil Holdings. They shared practical tips on flipping properties and maximizing returns on single- and multifamily investments. A special thank you to Title Services of the Valley for their sponsorship and support.
• • Denver Brews & Views (October 24, 2024)
    Our next stop was Denver, where we hosted Denver Brews & Views at the Viewhouse Ballpark. This event focused on empowering investors with strategies for navigating Colorado’s real estate market. Guest speaker Rafael Estrada from Freedom Financial Real Estate shared in-depth strategies for fix-and-flips, wholesaling, and rentals. We were also joined by Goosehead Insurance and Elevated Title, who provided valuable insights into protecting investments and ensuring smooth transactions. Topaz Dori, CO VP of Sales at Capital Fund 1 spoke on the event saying, “Hosting our first Happy Hour in Denver was an amazing experience. It was great to connect with local real estate professionals and celebrate the vibrant energy of this growing market.”
• • Texas Real Estate Happy Hour (October 29, 2024)
    We wrapped up the month with a Texas Happy Hour, featuring guest speaker Mustafa Jawadwala, alongside Asa Menchaca and Stellar Title Group as our sponsor. This event brought together local investors and industry professionals to share knowledge and explore new opportunities in Texas’ vibrant real estate market. Ethan Bubel, TX Sales Manager at Capital Fund 1 shared, “We’re thrilled to have celebrated our first Happy Hour in Texas and connect with the incredible real estate community here.
